It’s a sidebar dream, but one day I’d love to run or at least write for a comedy show of some kind, because if I can put anything even half as good as this
out into the world, then I’ll rest a little easier at night. Seinfeld doesn’t get nearly enough credit – in this country, at least – for being the best damn sitcom on or off the air (Spaced doesn’t count, and Black Books and Father Ted were far too short-lived to go up against Jerry’s gang, which completely wipes the floor with the likes of Friends for longevity and actually relatable characters).
Plus, if you count Curb Your Enthusiasm as essentially an extension of George’s character (who was famously based on Larry David himself, hard as that may be to believe), the show’s still alive and still basically the funniest thing on television anywhere. And pretty damn brave, too:
