…And It Was All Going So Well

As you’re no doubt well aware, trains and I don’t exactly have the best relationship.

I spent the day in York and was going to have a nice, polished post to have all ready for your consumption as soon as I got back to the land of chavs and no money but, alas, it was not meant to be, as my train home was delayed, then cancelled, then delayed again.

(I’m on it now and just heard the conductor’s announcement that the problem causing the delays was something entirely out of his hands, but that people were still free to knock on his door and berate him for it. Poor guy.)

Which is a shame, because today was a pretty exciting one as far as days-involving-things-i-should-get-excited-about go.

The cliff notes:

– ARK 14 – once again rolling forward on the plot train. One of those days where you’re glad you picked a writing partner who makes your best ideas even better.

– Job stuff – I can’t say much, but the prospects are definitely promising. Very good.

I Am Tim stuff – again, one of those instances where your collaborators make a project even more worthwhile. Today in a series of meetings most of what I had to do (as a producer) was sit back and let the people I had gathered to their job with enthusiasm and gusto. And you can never get enough of gusto.

– Comics stuff – when picking up my irregular fix of sequential heroin at the superb Travelling Man, I set myself on a path to reporting on Thought Bubble 2012. Which isn’t even a creative thing for me but still makes my insides tingle.

And, y’know, I got comics.

I was really expecting that to be a whole lot worse. We’re both surprised!
